Brazil 1 I received this report from Bruno Macedo in IMAC Brazil:
Last April, the 14, 2015, Bis Model Aircraft Club in the city of Mirassol, Sao Paulo, held one of the biggest IMAC contest ever made in Brazil. A total of 42 competitors in 5 categories – Basic through Advanced and Frestyle – flew for 4 days more than 280 sequences.
This is a great come back for IMAC in Brazil, since there was a cut back on the last few years, where no contests happened in the country. It is also the highlight of a intense work done in the background to train more judges and staff, expanding the boundaries of IMAC within the country. Pilots and judges from at least 5 different Brazilian states were at the competition.
The success of the contest is a result of a new leadership that is bringing a lot of energy. Rogerio Lorizola and Luciano Rebecchi are the ones leading the way and taking IMAC back to the spotlight in the Brazilian model aircraft competition scenario.
The next contest is already scheduled, from October 31 to November 2nd at the city of Santa Getrudes, in the Sao Paulo. Prior to that, another Judging workshop may happen at the city of Limeira, better preparing the judges and competitors for the upcoming contest.
