In the unknown sequence, I often see the ACS and the sound score missing in the final report submitted to this website. However on the scoresheets these scores are requested. What is the correct way to do this?
PS. My belief is that we do have to provide these marks, and that the reason they don't make it into the Score program is that the scorekeepers are copying the K factors from the sequence sheet and that the ACS and sound K factors are not listed on the sequence sheets as an eleventh and twelfth maneuver. If that's the case could you please add the ACS and sounds K factors to the list of K factors on the sequence/scoresheets explicitely as a reminder to the scorekeeper to also enter them in the Score program as an eleventh and twelfth maneuver?

If the pilot entered the "box" then I always score sound and ACS based on what has been flown....
So yes.. I have scored a pilot with all zeros, but a score for sound and ACS....

The RD should see these are missing before they send those score to Roy for posting,,,,,, if they are missing then the RD should send the score back to the CD of the contest to fix,,,,,,, this could change the out come of the contest and the out come of the regional points race.

Hi Isabel,
One of the reasons I started pre-configuring the Score program when i was an RD was for this very reason.
One of the ways I always entered the unknown ASC and sound scores while I entered the unknowns into the score program was to get them from the knowns that are already there. You have to make sure the Score program you are using is the most current
In my eyes, if the scores for ACS and Sound are not in the Score program then the scores are not valid and need to be redone. I know that's harsh.

The scorekeeper and CD should notice that the ACS and Sound score are missing... the final line is the RD should verify all of these as well before posting.
Remember though.. it is possible to have scores on all ten maneuvers, but earn 0's on sound and ACS.....
but if I saw this on a score I was verifying, I would contact the CD and have them check the original score sheet for verification.

That is the reason for a CD to NOT give the score sheets out to the pilots at the end of the contest !

Yep.. I'm asking all the CD's to keep them for this very reason.
Pilots are welcome to look at the score sheets and the Score program does have a pilot report that can be printed showing every score, but it is important for the CD to hang on to the original sheets just in case there is an issue down the road.

We gave the pilots copies of their score sheets and we kept the originals at our recent contest. The two score sheets were on one piece of copy paper - the pilots liked that!

Cool idea the only thing is the CD would need to scan all of them, but if he did that then he would not need to keep all those little sheets of paper,,,,,, all he would need is the file.

True, but it did not take long to do the scans. The score keeper easily kept up with the input after each pilots two sequences as the score sheets were brought immediately to him for input/scanning. No problem with 19 pilots, three rounds and one unknown.
