There is a situation that has developed between the Aresti Systems Inc. and CIVA/FAI. It is important that we keep abreast of this and also be cognizant that the distribution of the Aresti Catalog can bring a lawsuit on your shoulders.

Does that mean the catalog that was on the link on the first post is NOT the official catalog, and is not being adopted or used by IMAC for 2012?

Hi Brad... FAI/CIVA are presently in consultations with the Aresti Systems Inc and the full scale will be using the catalog. I have been assured by the President of CIVA (Mike Heuer) that the catalog is legal.

For IMAC to use the new catalog, we would have to go through the normal process of submitting relevant RCP's to the AMA to change the new figure numerical and also the graphics that they affect in the Scale Aerobatics rulebook.

This process has already been started by the IMAC Rules Committee & is well underway. There was no intention to introduce the new catalog prior to all the proper documentation taking place.... hence to answer your second question: The new catalog would not come into effect in Scale Aerobatics until 2013. The new figures and the new numerical will NOT be effective in IMAC in 2012.

We have received some information regarding CIVA/FAI and the Aresti Systems Inc.

They had the meeting to work out their differences with the 2012 Aresti Catalog on January 31st and it is now all settled.

The sale of the Aresti catalogs will start on Feb 7th on the Aresti Website.

The sequence committee will work on a new set of Unknown Catalogs with the new figures & submit the rules for Scale Aerobatics Unknowns to the Aresti Systems Inc for publishing in 2013.

Here is a copy of the letter that I have just received from CIVA.
