I came across this video from the Nordic countries where they had IMAC 2008...It seems that there are so many aerobatic enthusiasts around the world that share all the same interests as we do, but we are not aware that they exist. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24-y2e5CgD4 Wayne |

Hi y'all IMAC is rapidly expanding all over the world and as far as I can see be truly international in the forseeable future. Some of you may have read my report in the international report section, but for those who havn't here is a quick update. IMAC has been approved as an official competition class in the following countries already; Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The first Nordic championship will be held in Norway June 4-7 this year with national teams consisting of up to 9-10 pilots. There will be individual as well as team competitions. IMAC is expanding in other European countries as well, so the future of IMAC looks bright! Check out these sites; www.mini-iac.no www.imacnorge.no (same site) and www.mini-iac.se Language on these sites is a problem but pictures and videos etc. will give you an impression of what goes on "over here". Thanks for all the help we have received from you guys! rgds Rolf Meum Pres. IMAC Norway |

Hi Don. The new website is awsome! It's a lot easier to keep up to date for those of us who aren't in the "middle of" where it all happens. This forum and the rest of the website has opened a new and exelent comunication channel, which no doubt will be one of the cornerstones for further development and expansion of IMAC on the American continent as well as the rest of the world. For me personally the training library and the the help I've got from Wayne Mathews is of great help to run the judgeing schools. I will run 2 of them here in Norway this spring. Education is key! I'm glad that more and more of the articles from the old website is republished here, like Peter Goldsmith's article on setting up a model for IMAC. I'm sure that in due time more of the exelent work from the sound task force will become available as well. In most of Europe we have to conform to stringent environmental (I'm sick of that word, but it's a reality we havt to take seriously to be able to continue to do what we love) regulations, with noise (surprice, surprice) as a major factor. We have come a long way though, and simple things as the "prop tip speed diagram" from the old website is a great tool to guide pilots to take care of that spesific issue. "A picture is worth a thousand words" is really true in that case! Canisters or tune pipes is basicly a requirement most places. Getting rid of the the old angle defenitions and the "box" and implementing the current airspace and noise score rules is no doubt of great help to us. At my airfield we had no complaints ( a first) at all last year. No doubt there are many opinions on these issues, as seen on some other threads on this forum, but at least now whe have an exelent way of comunicating those views. rgds Rolf Meum |

Juan, Great to hear from you! The web sites look great and it looks like you are quite a few pilots having a great time! 4 competitions this year is a good start. We have the same number in Norway this year and the Swedes have 7. My club has the following web site www.glamdalrck.net This is where we will have the first Nordic championship this year. Again the language is Norwegian except for the link to the NC, which is in english. The picture galleries speek their own language! Lets keep in touch and may your competitions be very successful! rgds Rolf |

I realize it would be a lot more work for our already over worked webmaster but, it would add a lot of meaning to the "I" in IMAC. see you soon, John |
