I have a ZDZ 80 in a Giles that I haven't flown in 3 years. I had a container of fuel and had enough gas for one flight today.
I have a gallon of Amzoil 2000 racing oil. Does anyone know what the mixture is with high test gasoline for this oil and engine. The engine ran great after three years of not flying.

Sandy,
Manufacturer recommends 40:1 ratio (synthetic) after break in. Here's a link to the on-line manual- top of page two has some information for you.

PS- Still have that 40% 260 that you saved down in Baltimore when you realized I was on ch 38 and didn't have the pin....

David,
Good to hear from you. I have the manual from Troybuilt but I seem to remember that the Amzoil 2000 racing oil was mixed 50:1. I will probably mix it 40:1 because I no longer completely trust my memory, Thanks for the reply.

Yes it is mixed at 50:1 ,a better oil is the amziol 100:1 ashless oil is the best runs cleaner & cooler thats what I use mixed with 110 octane or you can use 91 octane . it's recomanded by desert aircraft for all there motors . mean & clean works great

Yes, Desert Aircraft is OK with Amsoil at ratios thinner than 40:1 but- ZDZ is not and states in their manual that running at ratios thinner than 40:1 will void any warranties.

I ran Redline at 40:1 in my ZDZ Super 80 and it ran great. Clean and cool. Highly reccommend Redline but any oil will do but def. mix to a 40:1 ratio for the ZDZ engines.
