Okay guys quick question and concern for you.... Just got my AW extra 300 in the air I have it set up with a DA150 on RE3 pipes and I'm running a Mejzlik 30x12 prop... After 3 flights in the middle of a loop the prop literally split open at the leading edge.... Has anyone else seen this??? I am guessing it's turning to many RPM's but not sure... Thanks for all the help guys...

I run the same setup. RPM is not the problem. Send the prop into me at DA and I will take a look at it and see if I can replace it under warranty from Mejzlik.

From the look of your avatar Tony, the prop would be in better condition.

Just my opinion but you already own the correct prop. Especially with an aw 300.
Its a very good plane and built a bit heavier (more durable). Even on a lighter plane
like the pilot 260 at 36.5 ibs, the 3 blade was a dissapointment. A little throttle control
and the 150/re-3s will be great! Again, just my opinion, which are like.......never mind...

Randy i tend to agree with you... i am personally just not a fan of 3 bladed props... As far as throttle control that is not an issue i was only above half throttle on the up lines.... with that plane and power there is seriously no reason for full throttle unless maybe you are in unlimited.... now have you tried a 30x13 or a 32x12??? just interested in other prop options

I had a 30x12 Mej on my DA-150 with Greves and it was ripping! Maybe because I didn't fully balance the prop, but I put on a 28x12 3 blade and honestly I like that prop over the 30x12 2 blade. I fly Unlimited and with my plane I didn't notice much difference power wise. Downlines were ALOT slower and the speed was constant throughout the sequence.

Just want to say that DA has by far the greatest customer service ever... Went to wram show and got to meet tony! Heck of a guy! Explained who I was and that I had the prop... Had it in the car, brought it in he looked at it an asked me which prop I wanted! Just like that!! So I upgraded to a 30x13 so I got a new carbon prop and only had to pay the price difference!!! That is what true customer service is all about!!! DA has a new customer for life!! Big thumbs up!!!

No doubt, they are the best. That is the reason I advise folks in the market for a motor they are better off with a used DA than a new take your pick Chinese engine.

There really is no comparison...products and customer support! Desert Aircraft stands above them all.

In addition, they have always supported the IMAC organization and so should we.
