Carlos Paez (emergency dental issue), Ed Kincer (family medical issue), and Dean Nistetter (was coming with Rick Byrd whose back went out Friday) are unable to make it. Don assures me that he has everything covered and he will be good to go when the event starts. It is going to be a job sitting in that chair for the next four days either way you look at it. However, the good news is the temperature is only topping out at 81 or so for the first few days.
I should have the first blast of official photos in tonight and will post as soon as I receive them…so check back this evening.
Word is there are several planes that are on the border sound-wise (2 bladed props, straight pipes, numb left thumb). I was only there for a few hours Friday evening and hear exactly what they mean. The AMA and all of IMAC are dead serious on the sound issue and I suspect we may see a rash of warnings and even some sound zero’s earned tomorrow. For the future just remember, if you go to Muncie you better be prepared to roll out the three blades and the pipes/cans or really know how to use your left stick VERY well.
