The 2010 Scale Aerobatic National’s ended Thursday July 8th; contestants came from as far as Jamaica and California. I have to apologize to everyone for not getting the scores posted in a timely manner. After posting the final results it was brought to my attention that the Final’s were not tabulated as I stated online and at the pilots meeting or at the banquet. I mistakenly computed the scores for the final unknowns at 20% and not 33.3 % as agreed. A special thanks to Kurt Koelling for bringing this to my attention and Roy Barrow for taking the scores down before to many people got to see them. I have recalculated the scores at 33.3% and found that it changed the results. I have been contacting the pilots involved in the change and they are now all aware of the mistake I made. A lot of things can happen at contest and can be smoothed out easily but the scoring (aside from safety) is the most important category of any contest and is nearly impossible to correct after everyone has returned home.
The scores have been fixed and are now available for your viewing. I will be getting the correct awards redistributed to their rightful owner. There is no way to give the pilots the glory they missed and for this I again apologize.
See you on the flight line,
