08212010 IMAC At Dusters,
A stupendous contest with gastronomical delights in abundance! A nice field with some power lines making larger, low maneuvers interesting.
Friday was a good day of setup and practice by all. We met two new feline mascots in “Sophie” and “Target” who guarded their motor home with catnapping all day long. Chef Elliot’s evening meal consisted of Shrimp Scampi, Rib Eye Steaks, Baked Potatoes, Deep Browned Beans & Cherry Pie! All washed down with a bubbly or two!!
Saturday’s full day of single line IMAC Flying in sunny, breezy conditions left us hungering for more of Chef Elliot’s scrumptious lasagna, garlic bread, jello and libations! Gyrocopter flybys, the “Farmers Insurance” dirigible and formation hot air balloon landings entertained us to no end. Another great day!
Sunday dawned warm, sunny and breezy even though the weatherman called for showers. Lot’s of good flights and a couple of minor landing mishaps rounded out a great contest.
Many thanks to the CD, judges, scribes, scorekeepers, contestants and their “supporters” for making this one of the friendliest IMAC Events...
