IMAC in British Columbia is relatively new. We had our first two contests in Surrey BC Canada in 2008. For 2009 we’re having a Mini IMAC on January 10, with a rain or snow out day of January 24. We’ll be meeting in the RCFCBC Flying field Clubhouse (Surrey) at 8am. We’re going to review the 2009 Sequences, talk a bit about plane set-up for IMAC flying, and then we’ll open the floor for questions and answers. Around 10am we’ll be heading outside to run a Mini IMAC Contest. Judges and a scoring system will be used. I’m hoping this will help encourage some new IMAC Pilots to fly, without the stress of a regular contest. We’ve had a lot of interest from local pilots wanting to fly, but are a bit nervous. Hopefully this will calm them down with the support and leadership from local seasoned IMAC Pilots.
Once the weather starts to clear, I’ll also been running IMAC Thursday nights. Usually we get 4 to 8 pilots the show up and help each other out. I believe the more eyes the better and it’s a lot of fun….
May 30 and 31 2009 RCFCBC will be hosting the “B,C. Coastal Wave”. This Event we’ll be running all classes as well as Free-Style.
