Happy New Year everyone. Hopefully 2011 will be a better and a more prosperous year for all of us. This will my 8th year in IMAC, wow how time flies when we have fun. We are starting our year hosting the National Judging School on January 14,15,16, 2011. Dale Lathem (Oklahoma), Jack Bowell (Arkansas), Ryan Gonsoulin, (Louisiana) are going to be our judging instructors for our region along with myself. Please feel free to stop us and ask any questions you might have about rules and judging. I hope most everyone makes plans to attend this years judging school. We will be discussing all the rule clarifications and changes that will be affecting us in the coming years. I have enjoyed being the RD for the last two years and look forward to serving our region again until 2013. If you have taken the time to go and look at our contest schedule you will notice it is starting to become a busy year also. I hope to meet many new faces this year at our contests. This year our region will be using the Prop Nuts Tru-Turn Challenge as a qualifier for the 2012 Clover Creek Invitational. The Unlimited class will be the ones flying for this. Please take the time to make sure your IMAC membership is current and that your IMAC numbers are correct. These can be problematic when dealing with our regional points. Keep in mind that Melissa is our iReporter and she wants to post pictures of our contests. I will be requiring a small write-up from all of our regional contests this next two years. This will keep everyone informed as to how things are going. Pictures will be appreciated and posted also. Hopefully by the time you read this all of the pilot regional awards have been received by the winners. Please take time and welcome Jack Bowell to the position of ARD for Arkansas. He replaces Lyndel Roe. Lyndel has done a great job in past and I hope to be able to call on him for his expertise. We will possibly be adding a new contest in the Fall in Texarkana, Tx. I am still waiting to hear on this. Well it's time for another cup of java. If anyone has questions please feel free to email me.
Thanks for being a great Region:
Eddie Bernaldez
