David Stewart was introduced to radio-controlled planes as a young child by his father and maternal grandfather where he spent many years flying. He took a break in the early 1990’s only to return to his passion after his son, Devon, was born. He and his Dad, Lynn, have introduced Devon to flying and they enjoy this quality time together, with Devon becoming a familiar face to all!
In 2005, David returned to competition in the Basic Class with IMAC. Since then, he has progressed through the Basic, Sportsman and Intermediate classes, becoming the Southeast points Champion for both 2007 and 2008 as well as the Intermediate Southeast Regional Champion for 2008. In 2009, David will be moving to the Advanced Class.
David currently lives in Woodruff, South Carolina with his wife Brandy, son Devon and niece Alexis. As well as flying, he is also very active in Hemophilia of South Carolina as Devon has this disease. David is very excited to be named the Assistant Regional Director for South Carolina!
