Hi folks,
This Excel workbook can be used to create a competition schedule for an Imac Competition. The generated schedules contains start lists and judges for the various classes. In order to use it, you must allow excel to run macros. It was created in Excel 2013.

Two sheets are for you to use. The "Configuration" and the "Pilot" Sheets. Fields that can be changed are green.
The Configuration sheet contains some values that are rarely changed. Like break duration, and the schedule layout.

The main sheet is the "Pilot" sheet. On the upper part, you configure the completion details. A bit furtherr down you add the participants. For each participant you add the competition class, judge class and freestyle participation.

Then hit the "Generate Schedule" button on the "Pilot" Sheet. Then there will be generated one schedule sheet for each competition day. These sheets contains start lists and judges for the different classes. These are regular sheets, which can be edited manually, as needed. E.g. if the competition is delayed on the first day, you can move one or more classes to the second completion day manually. Take care to get the time calculation correct. If you hit the "Generate Schedule" again, the schedule sheets will be deleted and generated again.

There is no support for multiple flight lines. You might consider having separate classes on the different flight lines,
and have one workbook for each flight line.

Comments are appreciated.

Let us go flying.

Gil,
You probably have a yellow line at the top, saying the workbook is opened in protected view. It has a button for enabling edit. Please push it. Then you will be fine.

Downloaded...

I like what you have here and hoping you can make a few changes:

Contest length / Duration each day should be determined by number of rounds flown not cut off short or extra rounds added by then end time ie if basic flies 3 rounds, unlimited flies 3 rounds.

Should ask about unknowns being flown and know that they are single sequence. If I put in that we are flying 2 sequences per round it assumes there will be 2 sequences per round on day 2 as well.

This really is great! A couple small changes and it will be great. If you come up with a 2.0 version that allows for two flight lines that would be the bomb! Applause

To me it makes sense to fly as much as we can during the given time frame. I do not think it is requirement in the competition guide that all classes fly the same number of round's. If you would like to have the same number of round's on you can achieve that by deleting rounds from the last competition day.

All unknown sequences are single rounds. The known rounds are 1 or 2 sequences according to the competition
setup on the pilot sheet. Unknowns are added everyday except the 1st day. I believe that is according to the competition guide. You are looking for the option to have an competition without unknowns ?

On the last day we usually end the competition early for people that has to drive home. This is not reflected in the
sheet. But it is easy to achieve by just deleting the rounds you do not need.

I will try to improve it ..

About dual flight lines.

Would you like to manually splitt the classes on the flight lines, or is it ok to automate it?

How far away are the flight lines?
How long time does it take to walk between them?
