Here we are in 2018, 4 months away from our first contest Glare . I think it is time to start to consider one, two, or three judging schools. I talked with Mark the other day and he was quite busy. I think having it in AR, OK, or TX is the best location, and I am willing to do as much or little, whatever is needed. I also, think we need to get the new Sportsman class educated as well. BigGrin

What does everyone think?

Kevin

Most intermediate and above have been to at least 1 school. I like Kevin's focus on new sportsman pilots. What would be the best location for the pilots that would benefit most from the school?

That was Kevin's post, Doug's theory is EVERY CLASS getting either UP to Speed, or Get Started. Our experienced Judges are spread too thin.

Thank You TIM! This is what we need. Where the planning of some schools will be best attended.

If there is interest, we can have more than one school. 🙂

From the discussion so far it's possibly Sherman or the online meeting. Anybody else have any ideas or want to host a school?

I am willing to help with a school baring my work schedule preventing it. I do not have much control of my schedule right now. It will improve in the future.
On another note, time is runnng out for planning a school. We need to reach out to all pilots from last year who have not attended a school and at the local levels help get the word out to pential new contestants. New comers are hard to identify. I have one locally in OKC I know of and will encourage them to attend.

I know It’s inconvenient for everybody, but I would be willing to host another school in my classroom in Norman, OK. We only had one student last year, so it would really need to be at least a small group to make that worth it.

I agree that we need to find out who has not attended one either ever or in a while and see where the most central location might be to the largest group. If it’s just not feasible, maybe an online school would be better than nothing.
