All,
I gave this idea to Alex and he wanted me to take the lead on this to see if we have any interest....

Every year there is an event called the Youth Masters in South Carolina. It’s how I got started in IMAC. You go to the event and you get taught the basics of scale aerobatics and you get to fly a nice competition aircraft. You don’t get to take off or land, but you do get to fly the sequences with it.
I propose we should try to put together a 50cc to 100cc aircraft to be used for kids and new members to use to get started in IMAC. These people would not perform the take off and landing. They would only fly the sequence. They would need to demonstrate that they know the basics to flying a rc aircraft. Someone with experience would coach the new member throughout the weekend and save the aircraft if the aircraft is in danger.
This plane would be owned by the Southwest region and only used for this purpose. I know I have extra servos I could donate to get this plane going. I am sure we could get more donations for this project. The idea is to try to attract new members to IMAC and to help those that may not can afford to try it out for the first time.

Thoughts?
