After reading the recent article in MA regarding IMAC trimming and techniques, I was wondering if mixing down elevator with low throttle to compensate for pulling to the top on down lines, was a common practice? All commenst will be appreciated. |

Ron: All the top pilots are running that mix. Most all the planes we fly will pull to the canopy on a downline. Go ahead and put it in and not worry about keeping it straight with your thumbs. Hope this helps, Dan |

Ron, mixing a little down with low throttle helped me in two ways. One is the obvious down line, the other was that after I set my CG to get the inverted up line very neutral the plane landed a little tail heavy. I had to push down elevator to land, now this mix helps my landing as well as the down line. |

I use it....but I turn it off when landing (actually I have a landing condition ... lower throttle, downline mix off, slighty higher rates, etc. etc.)

Correct... just after taking off. when the airplane reaches 3 ft, I close my eyes... I re-open them just after shuttung the engine off after landing!! |
