Bill,

I think it is to new. Maybe we will see some this season. Hey why don't you be the Pioneer and try it?
Jim
The "Yakov" one!
When you've got a YAK you have the Edge
and you don't need anything Extra!

Although I haven"t seen one yet, I can say they would probably make an ok IMAC bird.
The pilot extra300 is a-lot longer and seems to fly smoother on the Pilot videos.
I have a Pilot 40% 260 with 100+ flights. If the S Bach is at all similar, you will need to
do the following.
Wheels lasted 15 flights
Ball links too tight to use
toss the tank
Axles bent on first landing.
L. E. of stab was 1/4 inch too high!!!, but was easy to correct.
Due to snaps, cracks develope in joint between bulkhead and fuse side located
close to L.E. of wing. very easy to correct with stiffeners.
After these changes, this 260 is a durable and awesome flying bird!!!
THE GOOD POINTS..... Its 36lbs with a 150, muffs and 9 servos.
Has 9157 fut servos, and I truly enjoy it more than my aeroworks 260.
All the CF components are fantastic and parts fit is exc.
I'm ordering a Pilot 40% 300 monday and may never fly my dalton ML..........
......OK thats a lie but I am ordering on monday! best of luck...

Randy,
you mention the LE of Stab was too high... Are you indicating the incidene is off? Did you need to carry a good deal of up trim in the elevator to get it to fly straight??

That's the problem I have with mine. Still flys great, just bugs me.

How did you adjust the stab???

Thanks!

Mr know, Yes, the stab incedence was 1/4" too high and I simply elongated the index
holes a bit at a time and used rubber backed washers and bolts to secure the stabs again.
It took me about 6 flights to get the stabs and elevs to align, and it really flys better!
The two normal bolts that hold the stabs on are enough to keep everything in place.
And yes, on its maiden flight. the stabs were so high, I used a bunch of up elev to trim it.
It now has over 100 flights and is competitive......its the pilot who needs work.

I have the same plane with the same trim issues. I think I'll grind a little on the bolt holes tonight.

Randy,

Just for clarification.... to get rid of the up ele trim, I need to drop the LE of the stabs???

Yes, that is correct. I carefully dremeled the two index pin holes so the L.E. of the
stab could drop down as much as a 1/4".
The rearward index hole barely needed any cutting and the front hole needed less
than 1/4".
If memory serves me I replaced the stab mnt bolts with slightly longer ones and added
a washer on top of the larger rubber backed washer I got at ACE Hdwr and blue locked it.
this made for a good tight setup.
Its important to have the CG very close first ( neutral on an inverted 45 upline), then
keep adjusting stabs till they are aligned w/ elevs perfectly (get rid of any warps first).
also try to set elev trims to neutral and if all this freaks you out a bit, humbly ask for a
test pilot to help you on the new setup. Now go forth and prosper!!!!!!!
