Hi Guys, I have managed to do some work on it here and there. After cutting the foam for the servo lead I notice how much the slot weekend the foam, I looked on a few build threads and didn't see anyone doing anything about this, so I guess it would be ok to just sheet it. Well I just couldn't leave it like that so I called our good friend Ty and he gave me some good suggestions. He also suggested to make some small foam blocks and glue them in the slot where the end of the wing tube socket ends and HEY who am I to question greatness, OH boy that is going to earn me a 10 next time he judges me LOL!!! ok enough spanklish.

I glued two pieces of balsa sheet together and cut some strips from them. I then hand sanded them to fit. I left about 1/8 above the foam; once the gorilla glue was cured I carefully sanded it flush with the foam.

That plate you see on top is to ensure the wing stays flat on the table.

While the glue was setting up we took the time to set up the ban saw to cut the LE and TE edges.

Yes I'm back on it again. For the past two days I have been working on it thank god for the snow, work has been called off.

I will be posting pics in a few days, I hate doing it with the Mac here at home takes me for ever.
I have the LE, TE and end cap glued in place, been working with a hand held planer to shape the edges, I also have the second wing ready to be sheeted.

I'm currently working on the stabs cores. and yes I WANT A 124 but that will be sometime in 2012. I have my hands full with the move and all. I hope you guys are staying warm.

You sure are funny Mark.... I guess if someone does not have a goal in life he will end up in the mud!!

Nevertheless... I've booked you a spot on "Comedy Corner" next week... you may be able to fool them instead.
Hope you got your driveway cleared of the snow... I just finished mine.

That would be about as likely as seeing Wayne play in the snow! Wait a minute, Wayne is claiming that he built a snowman maybe I'll have to go try it and work up a routine.

Using the plans I have the location of the servo bays, next was to trim off some of the overhanging sheet, I used a sharpi to mark the outline.

Once I had the outline I made some marks about 1/8 for the overhang.

On the second and third pic you can see what I did. no need to go thru all the trouble again, just use the sheet as a guide.

Here is what they look like. Denis is very generous with the overhang, not that there is anything wrong with that, my point is if you leave it too long and vacum bag it it may snap off and take some of the foam with it.
