I will be the Nats News reporter this year and would love help from all/any!!

Pictures you may have taken, notes, small anecdotes, whatever!!

You can send them to me until Friday...
then after that, if you have something..
bring it over to me. We will be camping at show center in our RV...
I don't think there is WiFi.. so just stop by and we can figure it out!!

We are heading out this afternoon and I don't think I will have internet
(as I remember there isn't WIfi at show center)
and my phone isn't set up for tethering...

so yes! If you are at the Nats and have a little story, pictures, whatever... bring them to me!

Great weather here. Cool, very little wind. Forcast looks good all week. About 10 guys are practicing on site three. No one over on site four yet.

Welcome to the 2010 Scale Aerobatic Nationals!

Pilots, please proceed directly to AMA Head Quarters upon arrival. This is part of the check in process. You will need to pick up your 2010 NATS registration packet.

Pilots meeting is at site THREE (main flight line)@ 6:00PM July 4Th. Judges briefing will follow. All pilots are welcome to join us.

No flying on site before 8:00AM daily.

The parking lot is filling up with RV's and the sound of engines is in the air. Like last minute cramming for a test, folks are getting the last few minutes of practice in!!

Watched a few pilots yesterday. Then about 12 fireworks shows last night! There was one that just kept going!

Will keep you posted and will post links to the Nats News when they are published.

Hey Pops Curtis has been in a judging chair all day like me Jamie and I just finished Judging the 5 round for inter. and 4 round for sportsman ge did Adv. 1st rounds this morning and Unlimited 2nd round, as far as scores I have not see them yet!

Yep.. have literally been in the judges chair since 8:30 this morning till a few minutes ago.

Judged first round of Unl, second round of Adv, a round of Int. and the 5th round of sportsman. To say my brain is mush (more than normal) is an understatement.
I did try to get some pictures and will work on that in a bit.

The weather has been wonderful.. A bit hot, with a decent wind (cross/quarter) but all the pilots are doing fine.
MAN, there are some tight battles...

I'll post the scores in a bit, but wow, all the fields are tight!

I love seeing a 1.60 plane in Sportsman! LEADING

There's hope for many of us and proof that size does not matter :0

Just got out of the judges chair... after 9 hours!! Wow I am worked.. I know the other judges have been working just as hard!!

Great flying today.
Tony.. I'll try..but I think he may already be packed up....

In a bit I will post scores, but the Unlimited class is still flying!! Yep.. Look at the time of this post and we are still going! But that is what the Nats are about on day one and day two.. fly until you can't fly anymore...
Tomorrow we end a bit earlier to get to the banquet!

So.. after an adult malted beverage or three.. I'll get the scores and a couple pictures posted...

Damn curtis you da man....course the ladies doing the score keeping are simply the best....Major thanks to them.....Without the score keeping ladies we would all be big old boys playin g wit their big ole toys...pops

The files I am uploading are larger, but the IMAC site is resizing them to smaller automatically and I can't figure it out!!!
