Now back to gluing the fuse to the motor box, F2 and F3 have been epoxy to the motor box according to the plans, as you can see on the pics I cut some slots on the squares so I can use clamps to keep the fuse perfectly square to the table. Once I was happy I put in three servo screws thru F2 former to keep it in place, after the fuse is glued in place they will come out.

I measured to the top of the wing tube socket on both sides and it’s just perfect.

While I waited for the F3’s to glue I started working on the top braces, pics will explain better, using the line up tool makes life easy, I’m also using a small cutting jig that I found at Hobby lobby you guys can see how I’m using it, gives you perfect 90 degree cuts.

Primo, you got me motivated again to work on the 126, your build is as good as ive seen. The only correction to the thread is in order to remove right thrust you must build 2 left sides.

WTF! is that a Primo fat head on the wall??

im getting started on the wings,stabs...fuse is done with 2 lefts, none of the bass wood doublers were in stalled when i noticed so the only thing backwards is the diagonals. it will make a good conversation piece.

Thanks POPS, OK I got one fuse side glued in place and while that was curing I worked on the top stringers and patience is must here, measure ten times cut once then realize the angle is wrong measure again then I'm not so sure. I do know that after three glasses of Bonbei Gin with Sierra Mist all angles looked like 45 degrees to me. Had to stop fell asleep. Woke up with no headache lucky.

Next step was to set the other fuse side in place; I started the same way I did on the first one by squaring it to F2 and using servo screws to hold it in place. Next I sanded F5 to the angle shown on the plans and clamped the two fuse side together.

I made some blocks of the same thickness to help me set the stab tube level with the table, now I can adjust the stab ply support if I need to. I used the actual stab tube with sand paper to adjust the location of the tube on the fuse.

Now that I have the front and back of the fuses together I center the wing tube and taped it to the sleeve to keep it from moving, then I found center on the F5 former, using a tape measure from the wing tube to the center of F5 to see any miss alignment and I was very pleased to see that I was less than 1/16 off, after a few minutes of sanding on the wing socket support BAM!!! Dead on the money, to keep the wing socket in place I drop some medium ca on it I will epoxy it later on if I remember, actually I have a little note pad to remind me of things to do later. OK OK You guys want pics.

One thing to remember at least for me is to make sure the tail end of the fuse stays in one place over the plans or it's going to give you a heart atack I WAS IN A WTF MOMENT for a few minutes.

was there a slight angle on the sides of f5 out of the box to match the fuse taper angle, of did you have to sand it?

Ok now is time to square the stab tube to the wing tube, as you will see on the pics I put squares against the wing tube socket and the stab tube, using two tape measures I picked a point of origin form the wing tube socket and went back from there. It was dead on, I must have checked it ten times, and before I glue it, it will get check again.

Man I still have a lot of work on this thing and I'm already thinking about the covering, Is this normal? LOL

Build is looking great Primo. I think that I will need some luck this weekend, haven't felt great with my flying since I lost all the programing in my radio. I have spent several days practicing, but I haven't had a good calm day to really get it dialed back in. Went back to the PT prop, it's much better in the wind compared to the Biela. Your probably going to catch up to me on the build real soon, I haven't really done much in the last 2 weeks, and the next 2 don't look much better. Here's the latest pic.

Ok guys after spending a great amount of time squaring and meassuring it was time to glue the fuse together, well back up a little I had to glue in the stab and wing ply supports, done ok now I'm ready but not before I meassure again, this time I used a method Ty suggested, with the use of a string the picture will explain better.
